Our RayIQ sensor detects how light is bathing the site where it is sitting in 3D space.
Why? to know what kind of light is illuminating a site, where it is coming from (what kind of shadows it is creating), and how bright it is (regardless of sensor orientation). With this information on how a site is bathed in light, RayIQ extracts pose, which is the full description of motion: 3D position (x,y,z) + 3 rotations of orientation (roll, pitch, yaw).
We as humans love to be bathed in light, so we can see the world.
